Planet Fitness officially re-brands to Urth

After 28 years, Planet Fitness is rebranding. While founder Dallas Rosekelly expands across Australia,  the three Newcastle gyms are now evolving independently, unveiling  their new identity as Urth Fitness.

“The re-brand to Urth Fitness is an opportunity for us to modernise, refresh  & rejuvenate a brand locally loved by over 10,000 members,” said Dallas.

“The three Urth Fitness gyms maintain the same commitment, team, values  and community as Planet Fitness. The same friendly faces will continue to greet you early in the morning, and we still live by our welcoming and judgement  free philosophy. We will always be the most affordable gym in Newcastle.

“Our dedication to always being better  & continuously improving our offering  for our members is encapsulated in  this transformation to Urth Fitness.”

28 Years of Health and Fitness

One man’s vision 28 years ago has now become a family legacy of dedication to health and fitness. Dallas’s daughters Montana and Gjenae were literally born into fitness (there Family Business: Gjenae, Dallas & Montana Rosekelly are images of them as kids in all the gyms), and they are now leading this proud family business.

Of course, it’s not just the name that’s changed. When Dallas started the business in 1994, it grew because  Dallas was continually listening to his members, designing a fitness brand that catered to people’s needs  and continuing to evolve with member feedback.

“As fitness itself is a journey, we’ve continued to evolve our business and always will. Who we are is the same;  what we are is better,” says Dallas.

“We installed the latest range of cardio and strength equipment at our Belmont and Charlestown locations.  Whilst, Lambton has seen a fully rebuilt outdoor training area with all new functional workout equipment.  Plus, we just launched our own outdoor functional training classes to go along.”

Dallas firmly believes that physical and mental health go together, as one is needed to support the other.  So Urth Fitness is not only a spacious gym with group fitness classes but also a wellness gym of the future,  with an Urth Fitness Spa located at each of the three locations.

Each Spa includes an infrared sauna, massage chairs, a hydro-massage lounge, and luxurious spray-tan booths. Members who choose a Platinum membership (or above) can access all of these inclusions. Best of all – a Platinum membership is still only $10 per week, with an entry-level membership just $5 weekly.
